I'll be the first to tell you that $$$ for a bar of soap is outrageous. So I decided to get it because I'm good at buying things overpriced. Im glad i did because this is the best soap I've ever used. +1 star for being handmade with natural products and that makes the world of difference. +1 star for the amazing smell.... seriously. Beer and oatmeal. +1 star for making my skin feel great. The oatmeal really gets rid of dry skin. Made me feel like a teddy bear sitting on a fluffy cloud. +1 star because this bar of soap is huge and last for a while if your wife doesn't start using it... almost divorced her over that one. And finally +1 star because it arrived very quick considering it wasn't prime eligible.

'Dead Sea' anything certainly has its appeal in many beauty products, and soap is no exception. I came across two handmade soaps both with dead sea something or other. Natural Handcrafted Soap offers a Dead Sea soap one with Dead Sea mud licorice scent and dead sea salt, and the scented ingredient in this combo is anise.
Who would have thought of that combo&they did, and it is unusual but what drew me to this bar was its way of stamping the name of the soap scent into the soap itself. It didn't even need a label.
All of their soaps are so labeled, and this may in fact be their tamest soap offering as well.One thing I'm discovering in the world of handmade soaps, is how many pretty soaps there are. I know beauty is superficial but there really are some pretty soaps with this company. I can't wait to test out some other soaps of theirs but that will have to wait a while as a I check out other handmade soaps.
I repeated washing my hands with dead sea bars two more times, and yes!! There was a difference in the way my skin felt. Don't get me wrong.
These are still soap bars and the purpose of soap is to clean so a drying effect is natural. Don't expect to experience the same sensation as an application of hand lotion, but there is definitely a moisturized difference.

I'm always game on trying new products that are not well known. I have found great discoveries and once I have tried the product. I can tell by the description that this handmade soap is made with love. If you have ever made soap or not, you will see for yourself that it is labor intensive. I took a soap making class once and I had lots of fun but it was WORK! The instructor added the lye, because if you don't know what you're doing, the results are not so great, even toxic without proper handling.
Good soap making is a real skill which is why you may not see homemade soap recipes unless they are liquid on this site due to the cold, pressed process and skill level.

When I was browsing online , I happened across a picture of this piece of soap, and had to stop and take a closer look. It is one of the darn prettiest soaps I have ever seen. It is a natural-cut style, and made from two colors of soap.
The top portion is lavender and has a layer of what looks like large pieces of crushed rose leaves in the slightly uneven top. The lavender layer fades into a cream colored layer at the bottom. The words lavender geranium are embossed in the soaps front. I could picture this soap in a fancy dish on my bathroom sink. Gorgeous! What was even better was when I read the ingredients. This is the real thing real soap, not detergents, not chemicals. It is made with high quality stuff. They put olive, coconut, palm kernel, vegetable, avocado oils, shea butter and French rose clay in here. This sounded like it would be blissful for the skin and got all good reviews, so I couldnt resist ordering one.
I was extremely pleased with the quality and look of this soap. It was so pretty I almost didnt want to use it, but the fragrance talked me into it. It has a delicious, rich lavender with some other floral notes very feminine and soft.
The look and smell alone would make you feel you were being pampered, but that was only the beginning. Like all other handmade, natural soaps I have used over the years, this is amazingly good for your skin. It made a nice rich lather, and left my skin soft, fragrant, and comfortable. I can even use this soap in the winter when my skin is a bit drier, and that is impressive because normally I have to switch to highly moisturizing body washes or non-soap products to get through the colder months. Even at its driest, my skin experienced no irritation from this soap.
I have used almost all of this soap now. Only a sliver remains, and I am ready to order more. I will definitely re-order this soap but I also want to try some of their other soaps because Im sure based on the quality of this one, that the others are great as well.
This is a great product to pamper yourself with, or give as a lovely gift to a friend. The only little problem I had with the soap was that one of the rose petals or whatever flower they are worked itself out of the bar and scratched my skin in a very sensitive place! But I am not upset about that. It didnt hurt, just startled me! It is a small price to pay for such artistry! If you are a fan of hand made natural soap, I can almost guarantee that you will love this one. It is a little expensive, but I have paid more for much lesser quality, so for me, it is absolutely worth every penny. I highly recommend this product and company. Lavender - Geranium Soap Rating: 10

I hope they never go out of business. Nothing else comes close. I've tried Toms of Maine and all the other 'big' brands but they are full of harsh chemicals despite their advertising to the contrary and the difference on my skin is like night and day.
